	Maintain thorough history of current / past medications.
	Create frequently used individual or group medication templates - a value added feature.
	Print prescriptions at time of check-out or faxed directly to the patient's pharmacy with the physician's password protected signature.
	Track prescription refill history and mark the refill directly from the Fax Management module.

Smart, Automated Prescription Refills and Drug History

The Prescription module is fully integrated with IMS. It allows for providers to add, refill, change or discontinue prescriptions easily with a click of a button. The provider can choose from an existing drug database, from a customized "Most Prescribed Drugs" list, or from a Group Medications Template. Once a prescription is added or changed, the provider can either Print or Fax directly from the same screen. All changes are immediately updated to the patient's medical profile.

The Prescription module will:

	Check for drug interaction
	Check for potential allergic reactions
	Check for diagnosis contraindication
	Maintain a thorough prescription history of current and past medications
	Allow the provider to monitor the progress of medication prescribed (active, discontinued and changed).
	Allow the provider to save default SIG codes for individual medication
	Track prescription refill history
	Allow the provider to authorize refills directly from the Fax Management module
